Auroral Movies

Last Frontier Footage is a company that has some auroral clips for sale that were taken in timelaps photography. The high quality movies are taken on 35 mm film. They also have many other Alaskan themes.

The Museum of Time in the Netherlands also has some timelaps aurora clips on their web page.

Bob Eather made an IMAX documentary on the sun and sun-earth connection which also includes some auroral footage (all timelapse). The film SolarMax shows in IMAX theatres around the world. It is also available on DVD and although a TV screen pales compared to the most impressive view on a IMAX screen, the DVD is also worth watching.

In 1998, three professional photographers from Iceland used a propriatary technique to create real time aurora movies and published a DVD (sold for $35). I have heard good things about this movie but have not seen it myself. It is avaliable from their website: http://www.northernlightlive.com/. Samples can be seen or downloaded as well.
