Last night's aurora from the Toolik Lake all-sky camera |

Toolik Lake Field Station is located on the Dalton Highway, just
north of the Brooks Range. The all-sky camera shows some of the living
quarters (bottom right) as well as other parts of the camp.
Occasionally one can see the lights of trucks driving by on the Dalton
Highway along the right edge of the image.
The camera is oriented such that magnetic north is at the bottom of the image, and west is on the left, just as if one was standing outside, facing north, and looking up. The keogram below is constructed from vertical (north-south) cuts through the images. These are then stacked to show the time evolution of the aurora. |
